CERBERUS THE HELLHOUND

Lets have a little talk about the mythology's most iconic guard dog :Cerberus

Tracing back to its origin, cerberus was a multi headed monstrous animal who was born to Typhon and Echidna .Like his fearsome son ,typhon had multiple heads anywhere between 50-100 originating from his neck and sometimes even from his hand and Cerberus’s mother had the torso and head of a beautiful woman and a trunk consisting of tremendous serpent.

He was once gifted to king of the underworld -Hades and following that he served as a faithful servant and watchdog of the Greek underworld .His main haunt was along the bank of Styx,a river forming the boundary between earth and the underworld.He guarded the gates of underworld and prevent the dead from escaping and living from entering the hell without his master's permission.

Talking about the famous narratives of this terrific and supernatural beast .Cerberus was one of the only few creatures who had survived and met Hercules :half man half god .
